Support
Step Glance adds a Home Screen and Lock Screen widget to your iPhone showing your daily step count, read directly from Apple Health. The widget refreshes automatically every 15 minutes — no need to open the app.
Getting Started
- Open Step Glance and tap Grant Health Access. In the Health permission sheet, make sure Steps is toggled on, then tap Allow.
- Long-press your Home Screen or Lock Screen until it enters edit mode, then tap the + button in the top-left corner.
- Search for Step Glance in the widget gallery, choose your preferred size, and tap Add Widget.
- Your daily step count will now appear on your widget and update automatically throughout the day.
Troubleshooting
- Widget shows "–" or no data: Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Step Glance and confirm Steps read access is enabled.
- Step count looks outdated: Widget updates are managed by iOS and may be limited when Low Power Mode is on. Tap the widget to open the app and trigger a manual refresh.
- Widget not appearing in gallery: Restart your iPhone, then search for Step Glance in the widget picker again.
